forresterarchitects have secured planning approval for the addition of a rear garden extension and roof dormer to a modern house in Islington. Located within the Barnsbury Conservation Area the purpose-built houses tend not to be added to. A modest design proposal has been approved to provide a large open plan ground floor with a large bedroom to the roof. The extension is clad in copper and compliments the red brick and tile of the wider environment.

forresterarchitects have submitted a planning application for a new open plan rear extension to a detached house in Finsbury Park. Internally the entire ground floor is reconfigured and internal walls were removed to provide a large open plan family room.

One of our commercial client’s has retained our services for the full internal and external conservation refurbishment of their fine Victorian villa in Tufnell Park, North London. The brief was to conserve and enhance the original period features of the house. This involved the reinstatement of lost decorative features and decorating with paints from a Victorian palette to compliment the character of the house.
