A new patisserie provides a vibrant street presence to North London

Patisserie Extension | Architects for Park Royal | North London

On a busy, anonymous road in North London a well established patisserie has been relocated due to the implication of the HS2 infrastructure. The relocation meant the loss of their most profitable income stream-the patisserie. The new commercial premises has an under utilised area of adjacent land which offers the potential for development. A new patisserie is proposed to reestablish an new environment to eat, drink and relax. A simple geometric form will provide a new patisserie, shisha tent and terrace adjacent to the highly productive bakery. The new patisserie will provide notable new landmark to the area which will appeal to, and attract new customers. In a simple linear plan it provides visually interesting framed views through the patisserie and terrace beyond.

Galley Kitchen Refurbishment and Extension | Architects for Brent | Queens Park, North West London

forresterarchitects have completed a full house refurbishment to a striking art-deco house in North West London. The works involve significant remodelling to the rear of the house to provide a reconfigured galley kitchen and dining area. A series of folding-sliding doors form a centralised courtyard which provides easy access to the landscaped garden beyond. A new garden to the front and a rendered facade provide a freshly invigorated frontage to the street.
